A woman in her 70’s has been treated for breathing in smoke after a fire at a property in Beacon Hill, Herne Bay.
Two Kent Fire & Rescue appliances attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire in the ground floor kitchen. The woman was given oxygen by the crews on arrival before being handed over to the ambulance for further treatment.
Crews also used positive pressure ventilation fans to clear smoke from the property.
The fire brigade were called at 12:18 and the incident was dealt with by 13:15.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
